Hollywood and wrestling lost a legend last month, and Sylvester Stallone is reflecting on why Hulk Hogan was destined to become one of the biggest icons in sports entertainment and Hollywood alike.

In the new Hulu documentary, “TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan,” Stallone looks back on his friendship with Hulk, dating to 1982 when they filmed Rocky III. It was a time when Hulk was just beginning to find his footing as both a wrestler and actor.

The Moment Stallone Knew Hulk Had “It”

Sly recalls instantly sensing that Hulk was special.

“Certain people just have it,” Stallone said, remembering the young wrestler’s charisma and undeniable glow.

During filming, Hulk began to put the pieces of his career together, blending his larger-than-life personality with his growing acting skills. Stallone says that from that moment, it was clear Hulk was destined to take over the wrestling world — and beyond.

Fearless and Careful: Hulk on Set

One of Stallone’s standout memories is the care Hulk took while performing stunts. Despite being a 300-pound powerhouse, Hogan made sure to break his falls to protect Stallone, taking most of the physical toll himself.

“Gravity still takes a toll, and Hulk — not me — took the brunt,” Stallone recalled.

It was this combination of fearlessness and responsibility that helped Hulk achieve monumental success, both in the ring and on screen.

    A Legacy Unlike Any Other

Stallone emphasizes that Hulk’s courage and determination were unmatched. His drive and guts enabled him to climb to the very top of his industry, and according to Stallone, we’ll never see anyone like him again.

“Hulk was in a class of his own,” Sly said.

The documentary, “TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan,” is now streaming on Hulu, giving fans a closer look at the man behind the legend, including Stallone’s firsthand accounts of Hulk’s early Hollywood days and his rise to fame.

Why Fans Will Remember Hulk Hogan Forever

    • Trailblazer: Redefined wrestling with charisma, style, and larger-than-life personality.
    • Hollywood Star: Found his acting stride on Rocky III, bridging sports and entertainment.
    • Fearless: Took on physical challenges head-on, protecting others on set.
    • Legendary Legacy: Stallone and countless fans agree, Hulk was one of a kind.

Hogan’s impact on wrestling, movies, and pop culture is undeniable, and Stallone’s tribute highlights the respect and admiration he earned from peers across the entertainment world.

Fans can stream “TMZ Presents: The Real Hulk Hogan” on Hulu for more exclusive stories and behind-the-scenes memories from his career.
