Iggy Azalea is letting fans in on a side of her life that’s been mostly private: a serious health battle she endured while quietly building her career outside of music.
In a recent ABC News interview, the former rap star opened up about her journey as a crypto entrepreneur and her time on OnlyFans, revealing how she turned a financial opportunity into a platform for her business ventures — all while dealing with a severe medical issue.
OnlyFans Success — But Not $48 Million
Azalea admitted she made significant earnings on OnlyFans, but shut down the viral rumor claiming she pocketed $48 million.
“I’m no fool. I’ve been paid before I even made the profile. I was the top for that year. I barely, honestly didn’t have to do much,” she said.
“It’s not $48 million. That’s not the exact number, but it’s a life-changing number. It’s a little lower. It was great for me because I was able to take all that money and use it to seed out ideas I had about businesses that I wanted to build.”
Iggy launched her OnlyFans journey in January 2023, initially tied to her promotional efforts for the Hotter Than Hell project. Although the album never released — signaling her retirement from music — her entrepreneurial ventures on the platform continued to flourish.
Battling Severe Health Issues in Silence
While her financial success was growing, Iggy was silently dealing with severe nerve damage in her legs, which escalated into a serious infection.
“I just ended up getting what’s called a chronically non-healing wound because I had a PICC line in my arm. We would take the PICC line out and then take hot bikini pictures for a day or two,” she shared.
Despite the challenge, she framed it with resilience:
“I turned lemons into lemonade with that. I really did.”
Her candor highlights the often-hidden struggles of public figures, who balance personal health crises alongside demanding careers and public scrutiny.
Turning Challenges Into Opportunities
Azalea’s story isn’t just about financial success or health struggles — it’s about resilience and reinvention. By leveraging her OnlyFans earnings and venturing into crypto and entrepreneurship, she’s creating a new chapter for herself beyond music, proving that adaptability and persistence can lead to life-changing outcomes.
