Isaiah Bond Cleared of Charges, Set to Join Cleveland Browns

Former Texas Longhorns standout Isaiah Bond is putting a major legal hurdle behind him. The undrafted wide receiver will not face charges related to sexual assault claims, clearing the path for him to sign with the Cleveland Browns.

The Collin County District Attorney confirmed the development Thursday, stating:

“After reviewing all the evidence presented, a Collin County grand jury returned a ‘no bill’ in the sexual assault charge involving Isaiah Bond, meaning no indictment will be issued. This concludes the criminal proceedings in this matter.”

    Background on the Case

Bond, 21, who also played briefly at Alabama, was arrested in April after turning himself in on a sexual assault warrant. Throughout the ordeal, he adamantly denied anything but a consensual encounter with his accuser.

Additionally, Bond had filed a lawsuit against the woman involved in the allegations. That lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice in July, marking another legal victory for the young athlete.

    Bond Speaks Out

Taking to social media, Bond addressed the case and expressed gratitude to the Browns for giving him the opportunity to chase his professional dreams.

“I know there have been questions and reports about these allegations. I am grateful for the decision of the prosecutor and the courts not to pursue charges. I will learn from this experience as I grow in wisdom, character, and faith.”

    He continued:

“On the advice of my attorney, I will not discuss the details of this case, but I want to be clear: from the very beginning, I have refuted these allegations and maintained my innocence. I stand firm by that today.”

    Looking Ahead: NFL Career

With the legal matters resolved, Bond is now fully focused on football. Originally projected as a second-round pick before the allegations, he is determined to prove the Browns right for trusting in his talent.

“I’m excited to join Cleveland and show what I can do on the field,” Bond said, signaling a fresh start for his professional journey.

The young wide receiver’s story serves as a reminder of resilience and determination — overcoming both public scrutiny and legal battles to pursue his NFL dream.

    TPR Takeaway:
Isaiah Bond is now free from legal clouds and ready to focus on making his mark in the NFL. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if the former Longhorn can live up to the hype and become a key playmaker for Cleveland.
