The TikTok community is mourning the loss of one of its most recognizable personalities. John Crawley, better known to millions of fans as KingBeardX, has died at the age of 47.
Cause of Death Revealed
James Steele, funeral director at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, Mississippi, confirmed to TMZ that Crawley passed away on Monday in the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest.
He had been hospitalized for at least two weeks leading up to his death. According to close friend and former podcast cohost Anthony Caruso, Crawley originally went to the hospital struggling to breathe. His condition worsened, leading doctors to place him on a ventilator before eventually transferring him to the ICU.
Caruso also shared that doctors had to insert a tube in Crawley’s chest due to complications. Sadly, he never recovered.
Financial Struggles and GoFundMe Support
A GoFundMe page created by Caruso revealed that Crawley did not have medical insurance and was the primary breadwinner for his family. While the fundraiser was initially started to help cover his mounting medical bills, donations will now be directed toward funeral expenses and supporting his loved ones during this devastating loss.

Steele, who knew John personally, described him as someone who brightened the lives of those around him.
“Knowing him personally, John was a good guy. He lit up a lot of people’s worlds. I just left his house and was with his mother, we prayed together. She’s torn up right now but she’s going to make it.”
