Norman Reedus’ Son Mingus Hit With New Charges in NYC Arrest

Mingus Reedus, the 24-year-old son of The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus and supermodel Helena Christensen, is facing additional charges following his arrest in New York City over the weekend.

The model appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday evening, where prosecutors added reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment, and second-degree harassment to the charges. Court records confirm that Mingus pleaded not guilty to all counts.

    The Alleged Incident

Mingus was first taken into custody on Saturday after police responded to a domestic assault call at a Manhattan apartment involving a 33-year-old woman, reportedly his girlfriend.

According to the New York Post, sources claim Mingus allegedly punched the woman awake, then choked her and slammed her to the ground before officers intervened. She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

    Conflicting Accounts

Mingus’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, pushed back hard against the allegations, telling TMZ that prosecutors only charged her client with “misdemeanors or less,” which, in her words, “speaks volumes.”

Chaudhry also noted that Mingus was released on his own recognizance without bail or supervision, emphasizing that the court’s decision reflects the presumption of innocence.

In court, Chaudhry reportedly argued that Mingus was actually the one who called police after the woman allegedly attempted to end her life by taking sleeping pills. She further claimed that Mingus had just ended their five-month relationship before the altercation.

Meanwhile, a woman identifying herself as his girlfriend was spotted leaving the 10th Precinct shortly after the arrest, telling reporters the incident was a “misunderstanding.”

    A Troubled Past

This isn’t the first time Mingus Reedus has faced legal trouble. Back in 2021, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman during NYC’s San Gennaro Festival. That case ended with Mingus pleading guilty to disorderly conduct in March 2022.

    Family in the Spotlight

Mingus, who has modeled for major fashion houses including Calvin Klein, is the only child of Hollywood and fashion royalty — Norman Reedus, beloved for his role as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, and Danish supermodel Helena Christensen.

Neither Reedus nor Christensen has publicly commented on their son’s latest arrest. TMZ reports that reps for both stars have been contacted but have yet to respond.

    What’s Next

Mingus Reedus is scheduled to appear in court again on Tuesday, where prosecutors will move forward with the new charges.

For now, the case remains under investigation — and while the young model has entered a not guilty plea, the details surrounding the incident continue to raise questions about what really happened inside that Manhattan apartment.

⚖️ From fashion runways to criminal courtrooms, Mingus Reedus’ life is once again making headlines — but this time for all the wrong reasons.
