Bronx drill rapper DThang Gz, born Daniel Collins, is now under house arrest with an electronic ankle monitor after a Miami court granted his modified bail on Friday, October 3. The decision came during a hearing before Judge Jason Bloch in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.

According to court filings, Collins filed a motion to modify his bond on October 1, which was heard two days later at 12:51 p.m. Judge Bloch approved the request, requiring Collins to remain on full lockdown house arrest while wearing an electronic monitor.

Collins’s public defender argued that he was not a flight risk, emphasizing his consistent court appearances, which swayed the court’s decision.

    Pending Charges and Arrest History

The 23-year-old rapper is currently awaiting trial in two ongoing cases involving firearm and narcotics charges. Collins was first arrested on June 29, 2025, for being a felon in possession of a firearm, followed by charges for carrying a concealed weapon.

After posting a $15,000 bond, he appeared in court on July 22, but prosecutors requested a continuance, moving the trial to November 13.

However, Collins’s bond was temporarily revoked following a September 28 arrest tied to third-degree felony counts of cocaine and cannabis possession. Prosecutors alleged controlled substances were found in a vehicle where Collins was a passenger. His defense, however, argued that the substances were outside of his possession. Notably, no violence or contraband was found on his person, and formal charges have yet to be filed in this case.

DThang Gz Reacts on Social Media

After the court ruling, Collins addressed the update on Instagram, sharing a story featuring his new ankle monitor and teasing an upcoming Twitch livestream.

“And I’m going live on Twitch ’cause I don’t know why people make they own narratives,” he wrote, hinting at his plans to speak directly to fans amid ongoing legal drama.

Fans quickly responded, with many praising the rapper for keeping his head up and continuing to engage with his audience despite the legal hurdles.

    Upcoming Court Dates

Collins’s arraignment is still scheduled for October 17 at 9 a.m., with Judge Bloch presiding at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building in Miami. Until then, he will remain under house arrest, a situation that allows him some freedom at home while complying with strict electronic monitoring.

What This Means for DThang Gz

This modified bail offers a major relief for the Bronx drill star, allowing him to continue connecting with fans on social media and streaming platforms. It also demonstrates the court’s acknowledgment of his compliance with previous legal requirements, setting the stage for the November trial.

While Collins navigates these legal challenges, fans and observers are closely watching to see how this will impact his music career, public image, and upcoming projects.

Stay tuned for more updates on DThang Gz and his legal journey — fans are eager to see how this plays out!
