50 Cent Uses AI to Turn Hits Into 1960s Soul Tracks

In a bold fusion of hip-hop legacy and modern technology, 50 Cent announced plans to use artificial intelligence to rework his unreleased catalog. The rapper revealed the project on Instagram, sharing “1960s soul” renditions of some of his biggest hits, each processed with advanced AI to give the tracks a vintage, smoky texture.

His first experiment, a soulful reinterpretation of “21 Questions”, transforms the classic track into a sultry, soulful number.

“Now this sh*t is hot [fire]. I’ma use AI on all my unreleased songs and see what I got for ya!” 50 wrote, hinting at a larger creative experiment.

Shortly after, he shared a reworked version of “God Gave Me Style”, describing it as softer and more expressive than the original.

“This feels good [too], WTF going on now, this version lets you see my vision. It’s softer!”

Fans React to 50 Cent’s AI Experiment

The announcement sparked immediate reactions online. Some fans praised 50 Cent’s forward-thinking approach, applauding his ability to adapt timeless songwriting to modern AI innovation.

“This proves how great of a songwriter 50 is. Great writing works no matter the melody,” one fan commented.

    Others injected humor:

“100 years from now they gon’ say this the original.”

Still, some expressed concern over AI’s role in music:

“If this is AI, I am scared man shjiiiit,” admitted a skeptical user.

AI Meets Hip-Hop: A Growing Trend

50 Cent’s interest in AI has been building for months. Earlier this year, an AI-generated version of “Many Men (Wish Death)” arranged in a 1960s style went viral, earning praise for its eerily realistic sound. Podcast host Joe Rogan reacted on air:

“They took 50 Cent’s ‘Many Men’ and made it, like, a soulful song that seems like it’s from the ’50s or ’60s… It’s not even a real human being’s voice, and it’s f*cking good, dude. If that was a dude who sang that, I was like, who’s this guy, right? You know, I’m like, this guy is fire.”

    AI Is Redefining Entertainment

50 Cent’s experiment arrives amid a broader wave of AI reshaping entertainment. Recent viral clips imagined 2Pac shopping at Target and Kobe Bryant playing NBA 2K, blurring the line between reality and simulation.

By applying AI to his own music, 50 Cent is testing the boundaries of authenticity, showing how iconic artists can adapt their work in an era where digital likenesses and machine-generated art are increasingly convincing.

“It’s not just nostalgia — it’s a new lens on creativity,” one music commentator noted.

What This Means for Music Fans

For fans, 50 Cent’s AI experiments offer a fresh perspective on beloved hits, while sparking debate about technology’s role in artistry. The project highlights both the possibilities and challenges of AI in music, hinting at a future where classic hip-hop and cutting-edge tech collide.
