Kim Zolciak is calling for a court-ordered psychological evaluation for her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, believing he may be suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), a neurodegenerative disease commonly found in former NFL players. The reality star filed a document in family court on Tuesday, asking the court to appoint medical professionals to assess Kroy’s cognitive health and determine if he is indeed dealing with the effects of CTE.
Zolciak, who has been in a tumultuous divorce battle with the former NFL player, claims that Kroy has exhibited concerning behavior, including frequent profanity-laced outbursts in front of their four minor children. She further accuses him of using physical violence against her and exhibiting “extreme sexual promiscuity.” Additionally, Zolciak alleges that Kroy has taken steps to isolate her from their children by seizing control of their cell phones and preventing them from contacting her.
In her filing, Kim cites a study from Boston University, which reveals that more than 90% of former NFL players who participated in the study were found to suffer from CTE. She suggests that, based on these statistics, it’s highly plausible that Kroy is also dealing with the disease. Zolciak has urged the court to step in and have Kroy evaluated by medical professionals to address her concerns.
Interestingly, Kroy had requested a similar psychological evaluation of Kim back in 2023, after he filed for divorce for the first time. He had expressed concerns about her alleged gambling issues and insisted she undergo a professional evaluation.
The divorce has been anything but amicable, with police reportedly being called to their home multiple times before the couple finally sold their shared residence this week. The bitter back-and-forth between the two includes accusations from Kim of Kroy spying on her, while Kroy has exposed Kim’s alleged spending habits in the media.
As of now, Kroy has not responded to the latest legal filing from Kim. The ongoing legal battle between the former couple is far from over, with both sides continuing to make serious allegations against each other.
