A$AP Relli Responds to Backlash Following A$AP Rocky’s Acquittal

A$AP Relli, the ex-A$AP Mob affiliate who accused A$AP Rocky of shooting him during a November 2021 altercation, has spoken out following the collapse of his criminal case. Despite being backed by a felony assault accusation that had landed Rocky in court, the Harlem rapper was acquitted on February 18, with a California jury delivering a not guilty verdict, sparing him from what could have been an extended prison sentence.

In the aftermath of the trial, A$AP Relli took to Instagram to address the backlash he’s been facing since the case fell apart. In a blunt message to his critics, he wrote, “Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life, hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life.” His response was met with a series of critical comments and memes mocking the case’s outcome.

    Backlash from A$AP Mob

Relli’s failed accusations sparked strong reactions from several members of A$AP Rocky’s inner circle. 50 Cent, a well-known supporter of Rocky, mocked Relli in a post on Instagram, referring to him as “A$AP Telli” and alluding to his role in the failed case. “Not guilty I told [ninja emoji] I would bet 500,000K he gonna beat it when A$AP Telli started getting tired of telling 5 days straight. BOOM. Now stay sucker free,” 50 Cent wrote, making light of the ordeal.

A$AP Ant, another member of the A$AP Mob, echoed similar sentiments on X (formerly Twitter), calling Relli a “stupid fool” and accusing him of being a “rat.” He shared a picture of Relli on the witness stand during the trial, further intensifying the tension between the former associates.

    A$AP Rocky’s Triumphant Celebration

On the other hand, A$AP Rocky has maintained a celebratory attitude since his acquittal. Speaking to the press outside the courthouse, Rocky thanked God and the jury for their decision, expressing his gratitude for being cleared of the charges. “I thank God first. You gotta thank God first. And I really wanna thank the jury for making the right decision,” he said. “I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years, but I’m thankful nonetheless. We’re blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all. All praise be to God.”

In addition to his legal victory, Rocky teased the upcoming release of his new album with a cryptic message on X, writing “DON’T BE DUMB” — generating excitement among his fans.

    Celebrations from Family and Friends

The verdict was met with celebration from not only Rocky but also his close friends and loved ones. His girlfriend, Rihanna, publicly expressed her joy on social media, praising the outcome of the trial. Other notable figures, including Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator, joined in celebrating Rocky’s acquittal, showing their support for the rapper in the face of the legal battle.

    Conclusion

While A$AP Relli’s accusations failed to hold up in court, the fallout continues as both Rocky’s supporters and detractors make their voices heard. With Rocky now free from the legal drama, he and his supporters are looking forward to his forthcoming music, while Relli’s reputation remains mired in controversy. Whether this chapter of the A$AP Mob saga is truly closed remains to be seen.
