Wendy Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has ended her legal battle with A&E Television Networks over the documentary featuring the former talk show host.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Morrissey and A&E confirmed that they had resolved the dispute and that the lawsuit was being dropped.

The legal fight centered on concerns raised by Morrissey about the documentary and Wendy Williams’ condition during filming.

The resolution brings an end to a court battle that focused on whether the documentary should have been released and whether additional legal remedies were appropriate.

Guardian Previously Sought to Stop Documentary Release

In the original lawsuit, Sabrina Morrissey attempted to block the release of the documentary and sought additional damages.

She argued that Wendy Williams was experiencing “very serious medical issues” that left her “effectively incapacitated” at the time.

Morrissey claimed A&E should not have filmed Wendy under those circumstances.

However, A&E disputed those claims and pushed back against the allegations made in the lawsuit.

Despite the legal challenge, the documentary was released.

The documents state that Sabrina Morrissey and A&E Television Networks had reached an agreement and that the lawsuit would be dismissed.

The filing does not publicly detail the terms of the resolution.

With the case now concluded, the legal dispute over the documentary moves away from the courtroom.

    Wendy Williams’ Ongoing Guardianship Battle

The documentary lawsuit is separate from Wendy Williams’ ongoing situation involving her guardianship.

According to previous reports, Williams is currently living in an assisted living facility while continuing efforts to end the guardianship arrangement.

Williams has previously sought to regain control over her personal affairs, though the guardianship remains in place.

Her circumstances have remained a major topic of public discussion as fans continue following updates about her health and legal situation.

Why This Legal Battle Drew Attention

The dispute attracted attention because it involved questions about privacy, consent and the protection of vulnerable individuals featured in media projects.

Documentaries involving public figures often raise complex questions about access, storytelling and the responsibilities of production companies.

In this case, Morrissey argued that Wendy Williams’ condition should have prevented the filming and release of the project, while A&E maintained a different position.

The resolution means the court will no longer be deciding those competing claims.

Wendy Williams remains one of daytime television’s most recognizable personalities, with a career built on her outspoken interviews and signature celebrity commentary.

Since stepping away from the spotlight, her personal health and legal circumstances have become a major focus of public attention.

The end of this lawsuit closes one chapter in the ongoing conversation surrounding her life away from television.
