DJ E Feezy claims Timbaland removed him from Missy Elliott’s 2024 tour and replaced him with the producer’s son.
Legendary producer Timbaland is facing a lawsuit from DJ E Feezy, who claims he lost roughly $120,000 after being removed from Missy Elliott’s 2024 “Out of This World” tour.
According to the lawsuit, E Feezy had secured a DJ position for the arena tour and was preparing for the international run when Timbaland allegedly removed him less than a month before the tour began.
The DJ claims Timbaland’s son ultimately took his place, leading him to accuse the producer of nepotism.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and Timbaland disputes E Feezy’s claims.
DJ E Feezy Claims He Lost $120,000
E Feezy says the touring engagement would have earned him approximately $120,000.
He also claims he spent money preparing for the international tour, including expenses related to obtaining Canadian work authorization.
According to the DJ, he had already made preparations based on the booking before allegedly losing the opportunity shortly before the tour launched.
The dispute now centers largely on whether the parties had reached an enforceable agreement requiring Timbaland and Mosley Touring to compensate him.
DJ Accuses Timbaland Of Replacing Him With His Son
The most explosive part of E Feezy’s allegations involves the claim that Timbaland’s son replaced him on the tour.
E Feezy argues that his removal was not simply a scheduling change and characterizes the alleged replacement as an example of nepotism.
The lawsuit, however, does not establish that Timbaland acted unlawfully or that the nepotism allegation is true. Those claims remain contested as the legal dispute moves forward.
Timbaland Disputes The DJ’s Claims
Timbaland has asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that there was no enforceable agreement under the terms E Feezy describes.
The producer also disputes the DJ’s account of an alleged settlement that was supposedly reached after the touring dispute.
E Feezy claims the parties subsequently agreed to settle the matter but alleges Timbaland failed to honor the settlement terms.
Timbaland’s position is that no binding contract required him to make the payments E Feezy is seeking.
The producer has also pointed toward his former manager, arguing that the manager handled negotiations surrounding the proposed DJ position.
E Feezy Seeks About $130,000
E Feezy is seeking roughly $130,000 in damages, according to the lawsuit.
The amount reportedly includes the income he says he lost from the tour as well as expenses connected to preparing for the engagement.
The competing accounts mean the court could ultimately have to determine whether a valid touring agreement existed, whether a settlement was reached and, if so, whether its terms were violated.
For now, the lawsuit remains unresolved.
And while E Feezy’s nepotism allegation has added plenty of attention to the case, the central legal question is more straightforward: Was there a binding agreement that required Timbaland or his touring company to pay the DJ?
