British singer RAYE is shutting down speculation that she and Michael B. Jordan are romantically involved, explaining that their recent amusement park date-looking outing was simply two friends enjoying some roller coasters.
During an interview with Extra on Sunday, RAYE was asked about the dating rumors surrounding her and the Sinners star. Her response was brief and clear.
“No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters,” she said.
The speculation started after RAYE and Jordan were spotted together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, on Aug. 7. The pair reportedly enjoyed several rides during the outing, prompting fans to question whether their friendship had turned romantic.
According to RAYE, however, there is another reason the two have been spending time together: they are working on a project.
The singer hinted that the collaboration is still under wraps, telling Extra, “I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble.”
RAYE offered another glimpse into their professional connection during a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, describing Jordan as a “lovely friend” and confirming that they have been working together.
“We’ve been working on some things, which is really nice,” she said. “I love it.”
While the RAYE and Michael B. Jordan rumors have centered on their friendship, the singer also opened up about where she stands on romance in general.
RAYE said she is excited about finding love but does not want to force a relationship. Instead, she believes it should happen naturally.
“I’m really excited, but also not forcing that chapter,” she explained. “It just needs to find you naturally, you know. They do say love finds you when you stop looking.”
For now, RAYE said she is focused on her career and making time for everyday life.
“So, I’m just out here doing my work, getting it done, getting sleep when I can,” she said.
Jordan has previously been in a high-profile relationship with Lori Harvey. The pair dated from 2020 until their breakup in 2022, after which Jordan has largely kept his personal life private.
That privacy, combined with his recent outing with RAYE, was enough to get the rumor mill moving. But RAYE’s explanation gives the public a much simpler answer: they’re friends, they like roller coasters, and they’re apparently working on something fans aren’t allowed to know about yet.
For now, the mystery is less about whether they’re dating—and more about what RAYE and Michael B. Jordan are actually creating together.
