Sexyy Red is facing a potential $5 million default judgment after her child’s grandmother accused the rapper of encouraging fans to target her home.
Nicole Barnes filed the lawsuit against Sexyy in March 2025, alleging the rapper shared her address on social media and urged her large following to “kick the door in” and commit acts of violence at Barnes’ home, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
Barnes claims Sexyy’s alleged actions put her in immediate danger and forced her to leave her home.
The lawsuit has now taken another turn because Barnes says Sexyy has failed to respond to the case despite being served through publication in a newspaper.
Barnes says she initially encountered difficulties serving Sexyy with the legal documents after ordinary attempts allegedly failed.
Now, Barnes is asking the court to enter a default judgment against the rapper in the amount of $5 million.
The judge has not yet ruled on the request, meaning Sexyy has not been ordered to pay the $5 million.
Sexyy, who has roughly 5 million Instagram followers, is also pushing back against the allegations.
Her attorney, Jason Lampert, tells TMZ: “The claims asserted in this case are baseless and completely without merit.”
Lampert added that Sexyy “categorically denies these allegations” and is prepared to defend herself in court.
Barnes has two children with the rapper’s family connection at the center of the dispute, including a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, according to the lawsuit.
For now, the $5 million request remains just that — a request. The court still has to decide whether Barnes is entitled to a default judgment, while Sexyy maintains that the allegations against her are without merit.
