Ari Emanuel has a pretty simple answer when it comes to where Meghan Markle’s career is headed: he doesn’t have to worry about it anymore.
The WME Group executive chairman and Meghan’s former agent was asked about the Duchess of Sussex’s career direction during an interview with The Sunday Times published over the weekend.
His response was brief.
“Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore,” Emanuel said.

The comment comes with an important distinction, though. While Emanuel is no longer personally overseeing Meghan’s career, WME confirmed to Page Six that the agency continues to represent Meghan and Archewell Group, the production company she co-founded with Prince Harry.
According to Page Six, Meghan still meets with her WME representatives, but Emanuel is no longer the executive personally involved in her day-to-day career decisions.
That makes Emanuel’s comment less about Meghan’s relationship with WME as a whole and more about his own role in her career.
Meghan and Harry have continued pursuing entertainment projects since stepping away from their senior roles within the British royal family. The couple recently moved back to England and enrolled their children in school, according to the supplied report.

Meghan has also been linked to potential acting opportunities. She was reportedly being considered for a role in the third season of Netflix’s The Gentlemen, although those negotiations ultimately did not move forward.
For now, Meghan remains represented by WME even as her former agent appears content to watch her career moves from a distance.
Emanuel’s message was short, but it certainly left no mystery about whether he’s looking to get back in the driver’s seat.
