Cardi B has given her song “ErrTime” a notable lyrical change, replacing a reference to Latto with a shoutout to Kelly Rowland during her debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series. Rowland subsequently shared the performance clip on Instagram, setting off a friendly exchange between the two stars.
During the performance, Cardi switched the original lyric referencing Latto to a line praising Rowland instead. The Bronx rapper changed “Bad yellow btch, look like Latto in this mothafcka” to “Bad brown btch, she look like Kelly in this mothafcka.”
The alteration stood out during a performance that otherwise celebrated Cardi B’s catalogue, offering a fresh take on a track linked to a collaboration that has since become complicated.
Rowland appeared to welcome the shoutout. She reposted a clip of Cardi’s performance on her Instagram Stories with the message, “Get it Cardi!!!” Cardi returned the affection by reposting the clip and writing, “I love youuuu!!!”
The exchange gave the lyrical switch an extra moment of attention, turning a change to one line into a public show of appreciation between the two artists.
Cardi’s Tiny Desk appearance featured an eight-song set backed by a live band led by musical director Adam Blackstone. The performance included material from her recent project, Am I The Drama?, alongside established hits such as “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.”
But the “ErrTime” lyric change carries additional context because of Cardi’s strained relationship with Latto, who previously appeared on a remix of the song.

The two rappers’ relationship reportedly deteriorated in September 2025 after a leaked phone conversation captured Cardi making disparaging remarks about Latto while discussing a separate dispute involving Ice Spice. Cardi subsequently issued a public apology, but tensions between the artists remained a subject of discussion.
Latto later addressed the situation on her May 2026 album Big Mama, including the track “Gimme Dat.” In a subsequent interview, she explained that the remarks had hurt, particularly because she had recorded her “ErrTime” remix verse while pregnant to support Cardi’s album rollout. She nevertheless left open the possibility of a future reconciliation.
Cardi had also removed Latto’s name from the song during a performance at the Essence Festival in July, according to the supplied account. The Tiny Desk version therefore marks another public instance of the lyric being changed.
Whether the Kelly Rowland reference will become a permanent part of Cardi’s live performances remains unclear. For now, the Tiny Desk appearance has given “ErrTime” a new twist—and Rowland has made her appreciation for the shoutout clear.
