Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child together — a baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky.
The couple’s daughter was born via surrogate on June 9 at 11:19 p.m. PT in Los Angeles, according to the source material.
Rose’s arrival marks a major new chapter for Gaga and Polansky, who got engaged in 2024 and have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight in recent weeks.
Photos surfaced over the weekend showing Gaga holding her newborn daughter during a walk with Polansky, giving the public an early glimpse of the couple’s new family life.
The reason Gaga and Polansky chose surrogacy has not been disclosed. Gaga has, however, been open about her history with fibromyalgia, a condition associated with chronic pain and fatigue.
She discussed her health struggles in her 2017 Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, and later told Oprah Winfrey in 2020, “Even sitting here with you today, I’m in head-to-toe pain.”
Gaga said in 2025 that her fibromyalgia was under control, although she still experiences what she described as “pain days.”
Rose’s name may also carry a personal connection to her famous mother. Gaga has a rose tattoo on her back, which has been linked to her performance of “La Vie En Rose” in A Star Is Born.
The newborn was delivered by Dr. Robert Katz, the OB-GYN who previously helped Ciara and Russell Wilson welcome their daughter Sienna.
