WWE stars CJ Perry and Miro Barnyashev are preparing to welcome their first child together, revealing they are expecting a baby boy after an emotional journey with in vitro fertilization (IVF).
The couple, widely known to wrestling fans as Lana and Rusev, shared the news in an interview with People on Tuesday, October 27, announcing that their son is expected to arrive on April 28, 2027.
They have already chosen a name for their little boy: Bear Petrov Barnyashev.
For Perry and Barnyashev, the announcement marks a major milestone after years of hoping to become parents.
CJ Perry and Miro Share Their IVF Journey
Perry told People that the couple began IVF treatments in 2025 and underwent an embryo transfer in August 2026. She said they received confirmation of her pregnancy just days later.
However, the process came with uncertainty as they waited to learn whether their embryos were developing successfully.
The experience made the news particularly meaningful for the couple, who had dreamed of starting a family for years.
Their announcement offers a glimpse into a personal chapter beyond their public careers in professional wrestling and entertainment.
Why They Chose the Name Bear Petrov
The couple have also settled on a name for their son, with each part carrying personal significance.
Miro reportedly said he had wanted to name his son Bear for about a decade. The middle name, Petrov, pays tribute to his father.
And the wrestler is already joking about his son’s future in sports. According to the report, Miro suggested moving the family to Spain so Bear could attend the football academy associated with Real Madrid.
Whether their son eventually follows his father’s sporting interests remains to be seen, but Miro’s comments show he is already imagining life with the newest member of the family.
A New Chapter for Lana and Rusev
The pregnancy announcement adds another chapter to the couple’s relationship, which has experienced changes over the years.
Perry and Barnyashev married in 2016. They later separated in 2023 before finding their way back to each other.
Now, they are preparing for a major change as they get ready to become parents for the first time.
Perry said both of them had long wanted children and are looking forward to meeting their son after the challenges of their fertility journey.
With Bear Petrov Barnyashev due in April 2027, the couple are entering a new stage of their lives—one that takes their partnership beyond the wrestling ring and into parenthood.
