Sean “Diddy” Combs is now expected to leave federal prison earlier than previously projected, with his latest release date moved forward by more than three weeks.
According to information from the Federal Bureau of Prisons cited by TMZ, the music mogul’s projected release date has been changed to February 6, 2028, instead of March 2, 2028.
The latest adjustment means Diddy could walk out of prison 25 days earlier than the date listed in the previous projection.
His release timeline has shifted several times in recent months, with earlier projected dates reportedly including January 21, February 5 and February 20, before the March 2 date was listed.
The revised date comes after a turbulent period during Diddy’s incarceration, which has included reports of disciplinary issues and a transfer between federal correctional facilities.

Diddy was initially held at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where reports alleged that he had been placed in solitary confinement over claims involving prison rule violations, including fights and the use of prohibited cellphones.
NBC News also reported that he received special treatment from other inmates, allegedly paying them to provide massages, prepare meals and handle some of his chores.
He was subsequently transferred to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, where he was reportedly placed in the general population.
Despite the changing release projections, Diddy remains in federal custody while serving his sentence following his 2025 criminal trial.
A jury found him guilty on two counts under the Mann Act, involving the transportation of individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
A judge later sentenced him to 50 months in federal prison.
The latest adjustment to his projected release date offers a new timeline for the music mogul’s return to life outside prison. However, February 6, 2028, remains a projected date and could be subject to further changes.
