Kevin Gates says he has no regrets about handing over a substantial amount of money to his estranged wife, Dreka Gates, despite a court order requiring him to share proceeds from the sale of his music catalogue.
The rapper discussed the financial dispute during an appearance on The TMZ Podcast, where he was asked about a judge’s decision requiring him to make payments to Dreka following their separation.
Rather than expressing frustration over the ruling, Kevin suggested that giving money to someone he loves has never been a problem for him.
He explained that he has always been accustomed to providing generously for the people close to him, implying that the payment to Dreka was no different.

When asked whether he was genuinely unbothered by the financial outcome, Kevin maintained that he was not angry about anything.
He also reflected on relationships and the idea that certain events happen through what he described as cosmic intervention, suggesting that people sometimes have to accept how relationships unfold.
During the interview, Kevin briefly addressed social media speculation about his current relationship status. However, he made it clear that he does not enjoy discussing his private life publicly.
The court order reportedly requires Kevin to pay Dreka $929,341.50 in child and spousal support, alongside another $150,000 directly to her.
Additional payments include $125,000 for Dreka’s legal fees, $100,000 for her accountant and $103,000 to a third-party mediation service.
The financial dispute follows an acrimonious separation between the former couple. Kevin previously accused Dreka and members of her family of stealing from him during their relationship, allegations that Dreka’s lawyer strongly denied.
Despite the history of disagreements, Kevin’s latest comments suggest he is not allowing the court-ordered payments to become another public battle.
His position appears to be that generosity towards someone he once loved is not something he regrets, even when the financial consequences are substantial.
