According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Mahomes Sr. has formally requested permission from a Smith County, Texas, court to travel to Minnesota from April 12 to April 13. His plan? To sign autographs at a sports card convention, where fans will have the chance to meet the father of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and grab his signature on memorabilia.

However, before Mahomes Sr. can pack his bags, he must first get approval from a judge as part of the stipulations in the plea agreement he entered into following a DWI case last year. Mahomes Sr. has been on probation since the incident, and his request to travel out of state for the event requires the judge’s signature.
As of now, the judge has yet to approve his request, but Mahomes Sr. has promised that, if granted permission, he will adhere to all of the rules and regulations of his probation. This includes taking a urine test on April 14, when he returns to Texas after the event.
