Kanye West has just released a new song, LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE, featuring Diddy, his son Christian “King” Combs, and his daughter North West—despite a legal effort by Kim Kardashian to stop him.

The track, shared by Kanye on his X account, includes a voice at the beginning that sounds like Diddy, expressing gratitude for Kanye reaching out and taking care of his kids. In return, Kanye acknowledges that Diddy raised him, even when they didn’t know each other. North West delivers a verse, rapping “When you see me shining, then you see the light,” while Christian Combs also delivers a verse, and Jasmine Williams, a Chicago-based artist, provides vocals.

Sources tell TMZ that the song nearly didn’t get released due to Kim Kardashian’s attempts to stop it. Kim, who is reportedly concerned about North being involved in her father’s controversial behavior, allegedly sent legal letters demanding a cease and desist after learning about the song. An emergency hearing took place, but Kanye did not attend, and sources claim Kanye promised not to drop the track.

The release of this song comes after Kanye’s ongoing legal battles and personal drama, including his claims of being a Nazi and controversies surrounding his designs. Additionally, Kanye’s reported split from Bianca Censori is still a topic of public interest. Despite the legal pushback, Kanye posted a text exchange between him and Kim, claiming the two are “going to war.”

Kim has yet to respond publicly to the release of the song.
