Jack Schlossberg Slams Trump Administration Over JFK Assassination Files Release
Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of the late President John F. Kennedy, has voiced his outrage over the Trump administration’s release of JFK assassination files without prior notice to the Kennedy family. The files, totaling 80,000 pages, were made available on the National Archives website on Tuesday evening, marking a major release of government documents about JFK’s tragic assassination in 1963. Schlossberg was not happy to learn of the release through social media, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration.
Surprise to the Kennedy Family
In a fiery post, Schlossberg claimed that he and the rest of the Kennedy family were completely blindsided by the release, with the exception of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was informed ahead of time. RFK Jr. serves as the Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration, which Schlossberg highlighted in his post, suggesting that RFK Jr. had been given special treatment. Schlossberg noted, “Total surprise, but not a shock… Bobby definitely knew,” referring to his uncle, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Trump’s Role in Dismantling JFK’s Legacy
The release of these documents, which were made public after many years of secrecy, has reignited public interest in the 1963 assassination of JFK by Lee Harvey Oswald. Schlossberg, clearly upset, criticized the Trump administration for what he saw as an effort to undermine JFK’s legacy. In a subsequent post, Schlossberg expressed his anger further, calling out the administration’s actions as part of an ongoing dismantling of JFK’s image and his family’s impact on American history.

In a video shared on Instagram, Schlossberg appeared visibly upset as a CNN broadcast about the JFK files played in the background. He expressed disbelief, saying, “You’re better than this. This is so f**king stupid. There’s so much actual news going on. Why are you covering this?”
