Jowy Landa Dares Spice Diana: ‘I’m Better Vocally, But Money Should Be Involved for a Battle’

In a series of candid interviews, Joan Namugerwa, better known as Jowy Landa, has taken aim at fellow Ugandan singer Spice Diana, questioning her vocal ability and asserting that she is far more talented.

Jowy Landa, who has been gaining attention for her bold statements, took the opportunity to criticize Spice Diana whenever she was in front of the cameras. In one interview, she boldly declared that despite Spice Diana’s significant achievements in the music industry, the Source Entertainment Management artist doesn’t come close to her vocal prowess or overall talent.

“Spice Diana sings well, but I don’t think she’s even a quarter of my talent,” Jowy Landa remarked, adding, “I think I’m far better, but she’s good and has more music.” Her comments were a direct challenge to Spice Diana’s standing in the Ugandan music scene, with Jowy Landa positioning herself as the more skilled and gifted artist.

Jowy Landa Refutes Battle Claims, Focuses on Money

When asked whether her comments were aimed at igniting a music battle with Spice Diana, Jowy Landa quickly shut down the idea. She explained that for a music battle to take place, there must be a financial incentive involved. “I am good vocally. I don’t know, but I must blow my own trumpet. At least, I did not put anyone down. She’s really good, but I’m better. I don’t need a battle with her unless money is involved. Right now, I only need money, period,” she explained.

Jowy Landa’s words reflect her confidence in her own abilities and her focus on her career rather than engaging in unnecessary public confrontations. She acknowledged that Spice Diana has a larger catalog of music but emphasized that talent and vocal skill are key differentiators in the music industry.

    A Battle for Recognition?

Jowy Landa’s remarks have stirred conversations within the Ugandan music industry, where many fans and fellow artists are weighing in on the potential rivalry between the two singers. While both Jowy Landa and Spice Diana have their distinct fanbases and musical styles, the question of who reigns supreme vocally and artistically remains subjective.

Spice Diana, known for her impressive stage presence and hit songs like “Siri Muyembe” and “Body Talk”, continues to dominate Ugandan airwaves. However, Jowy Landa’s assertiveness and her growing presence in the industry suggest that she is ready to stake her claim in the competitive world of Ugandan music.

Looking Forward: Jowy Landa’s Career and Future Plans

With her bold attitude and talent, Jowy Landa seems poised to make waves in the music industry. While she’s made it clear that she is not looking for unnecessary battles, her self-assurance and vocal ability could very well earn her a more prominent place in the Ugandan music scene.

In the coming months, Jowy Landa’s growing fanbase will likely be eager to see if she continues to challenge her peers and if her career ascends even further with her music and distinctive talent.
