Tensions between hip-hop power couple Remy Ma and Papoose reached a boiling point last week, capturing the attention of fans and followers across social media. The duo publicly traded accusations of infidelity, fueling a storm of speculation in the entertainment world.

The controversy began when Remy Ma shared screenshots on social media, allegedly showing Papoose in a text exchange with professional boxer Claressa Shields. In the messages, Shields appeared to hint at receiving gifts and other gestures from Papoose. Responding to the claims, Papoose hit back by reviving rumors of Remy Ma’s alleged involvement with battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Shields and Remy engaged in a heated exchange on X (formerly Twitter), with Eazy stepping in to defend himself. Eazy alleged that Papoose had long been aware of his connection with Remy, intensifying the drama.

Hip-hop icon Fat Joe, a close friend and collaborator of Remy Ma, shared his thoughts during an appearance on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast. Joe expressed his disappointment over the situation but chose to remain neutral.

“She [Remy Ma] never talks to me about her personal relationship issues,” Fat Joe revealed. “But I do know we went to Brooklyn Chophouse last night. She treated 10 grown men to dinner, and the next morning, my phone was blowing up. People were saying, ‘Look what’s happening,’ and I was like, ‘What the f*ck?’”

Joe expressed his loyalty to both Remy Ma and Papoose, describing how their relationship had inspired his admiration. “Because of him, she made me love him. I really love him—that’s my goddaughter’s father.” Despite his strong bonds with both, Joe admitted he could not mediate their conflict.

“What I can’t do is stop it, or they won’t listen to me,” he added. Reflecting on his role as a godfather, Joe shared, “My goddaughter is the most beautiful kid in the world… I wish this didn’t happen.” For Joe, the situation remains a difficult one, but ultimately, it’s a personal matter that only the couple can resolve.
