SNL Pokes Fun at Kendrick Lamar’s Height in Sketch Led by Quinta Brunson

Kendrick Lamar recently found himself at the center of a playful Saturday Night Live sketch that humorously celebrated his height—5 feet 5 inches—with a comedic twist. Hosted by Abbott Elementary star Quinta Brunson, the episode took a lighthearted approach to size and stature, showcasing a skit that both teased and uplifted the idea that greatness knows no height limit.

In her musical opening, Brunson was joined by pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter and SNL cast member Marcelo Hernandez for a catchy and witty number all about height. The sketch spotlighted a variety of famously petite celebrities—like 4-foot-8 Olympic gymnast Simone Biles and 5-foot-7 Spider-Man star Tom Holland—while cheekily singling out Lamar as a compact giant in the rap world.

The bit resonated with viewers for its breezy tone and empowering message: in a world obsessed with size, talent is the real measure of greatness.

Kendrick Lamar Sets Records Amid SNL Buzz

While SNL poked fun, Kendrick Lamar is having the last laugh on the global stage. After a year-long hiatus, the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper is making a powerful comeback by headlining Australia’s Spilt Milk festival this December. The tour will hit major cities like Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast, supported by fellow Top Dawg Entertainment artists Doechii and ScHoolboy Q, alongside pop-leaning acts like Dominic Fike and Nessa Barrett. Rising artist d4dv is also on the lineup.

Back in the U.S., Lamar’s Grand National Tour with SZA is breaking records. On opening night in Minneapolis, the show raked in $9.1 million in revenue, officially becoming the highest-grossing rap concert ever—surpassing Eminem’s 2019 Melbourne performance. The concert drew over 47,000 fans, each ticket averaging $192.70, according to Touring Data.

This milestone not only cements Lamar’s legacy as a hip-hop titan but also marks the first rap concert to cross the $9 million threshold. The record-breaking turnout in Minneapolis also set a personal best for both Kendrick Lamar and SZA outside of festival appearances.

From comedy sketches to historic ticket sales, Kendrick Lamar continues to prove that whether he’s being humorously called out for his height or celebrated for his achievements, he’s standing tall where it matters most.
