Diddy Jury Pool Grows to 35 — Potential Juror Saw Cassie Assault Video

Jury selection in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial is heating up, with both the defense and prosecution adding 16 more names to the growing pool of potential jurors — including one man with strong opinions about the infamous hotel surveillance video of Diddy assaulting Cassie.

As of Day 2, the jury pool now stands at 35 people. The demographic breakdown of today’s group includes 5 white men, 4 Black men, 3 Black women, 2 white women, 1 Latino man, and 1 woman of unclear ethnicity.

Among the most talked-about selections is a man who openly admitted to the judge that he had seen the viral video showing Diddy violently attacking Cassie. He said the footage made the music mogul look “angry and hostile and entitled.”

Surprisingly, the judge allowed him to remain in the jury pool. While prosecutors welcomed the juror’s comments, the defense also chose not to object — a move that caught some courtroom observers off guard.

Of course, this doesn’t guarantee the man will make it onto the final 12-person jury. Once the pool is complete, attorneys will use their preemptory challenges to narrow the group down to 12 jurors and 6 alternates. Prosecutors are allowed 6 challenges, while Diddy’s defense team gets 10.

Notably, the jury will not be sequestered during the trial, which is expected to attract significant media attention throughout its duration.

The PopRadar is following the case closely and will continue providing updates as proceedings unfold.
