Diddy’s Legal Team Moves to Strike Kid Cudi’s Explosive Testimony About Porsche Firebombing

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ legal team is fighting back hard in court — specifically targeting a jaw-dropping moment from Kid Cudi’s recent testimony, where he suggested Diddy may have been behind the infamous 2012 Porsche explosion outside his home.

Cudi’s Shocking Claim: Diddy and the Molotov Cocktail

During a bombshell appearance in court last week, Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) told the judge he “knew” Diddy was somehow involved in firebombing his Porsche over a decade ago. The alleged motive? Cudi had ended a relationship with Cassie, a woman also tied to Diddy at the time.

Cudi testified that although there were no fingerprints, no surveillance footage, and no direct evidence, he felt sure the rap mogul had something to do with the attack. He also claimed that years later, Diddy offered a vague apology, allegedly saying, “I’m sorry for all that bull****.”

    Diddy’s Lawyers: “That’s Just Opinion—Strike It”

But now, Diddy’s legal team is asking the judge to strike the entire exchange from the record, arguing that Cudi’s statements are based solely on personal suspicion, not provable facts. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the defense says:

“Cudi’s comments are speculative and lack any evidentiary support. They are based on opinion, not admissible fact.”

Diddy’s attorneys emphasized there is no confession, no forensic link, and no eyewitness testimony tying the Bad Boy founder to the crime — and allowing Cudi’s testimony to stand could unfairly bias the jury.

What Happened to Kid Cudi’s Porsche?

The case refers to a Molotov cocktail-style arson attack that destroyed Cudi’s Porsche back in 2012. At the time, the incident was shocking but never solved. No arrests were made, and Cudi remained silent on potential suspects — until now.

Photos from court exhibits, recently leaked online, show the charred remains of the luxury vehicle, lending visual weight to what is otherwise a circumstantial claim.

Cudi Testifies: “I Asked Him Directly”

Cudi testified that he confronted Diddy directly at one point, asking whether he had anything to do with the car explosion. According to Cudi, Diddy denied involvement. However, Cudi also recalled Diddy allegedly making an apology for “all that bull****” during a chance encounter years later — though he did not specify whether that referred to the explosion or other past tension.

Legal experts say such a comment, without direct attribution or context, is unlikely to hold up in court as evidence of guilt.

Defense: Testimony Is “Legally Irrelevant and Prejudicial”

In their motion, Diddy’s attorneys argue that allowing the testimony to stand taints the fairness of the trial, especially since Cudi’s statement connects Diddy to criminal activity without corroborating evidence. They’re asking the judge to completely remove the Porsche testimony from the trial record.

    What Comes Next?

The judge has not yet ruled on the motion to strike, but the request signals just how seriously Diddy’s team is taking Cudi’s statements. If the motion is granted, it could remove one of the more sensational elements of the case — a piece of testimony that’s already grabbing headlines across the entertainment world.

Legal analysts say this move is standard procedure in high-profile cases where unverified testimony could influence public perception or sway a jury unfairly.

    Bottom Line

While Kid Cudi’s fiery accusations may resonate with fans and the public, the courtroom operates by strict rules of evidence — and for now, Diddy’s legal team is determined to keep unproven allegations out of the official record.

As this trial unfolds, one thing’s clear: the stakes are sky-high, and every word matters. Whether the judge will strike Cudi’s dramatic testimony remains to be seen. Stay tuned.
