Suge Knight Accuses Dr. Dre—Again—of Paying $20K to Have Him Killed

Suge Knight is once again throwing fuel on one of hip-hop’s most explosive feuds—this time, reigniting accusations that Dr. Dre paid $20,000 to have him killed. And he’s doing it from behind bars.

In a new sit-down with Piers Morgan, the former Death Row Records boss didn’t hold back, using his appearance to blast the California justice system, unpack the controversial three-strikes law, and point the finger directly at his former business partner.

    The Dre Allegations: Round Two

Suge claims he has “receipts”—literally. He says there are actual checks bearing Dr. Dre’s name that were allegedly used to pay hitmen.

“I got proof. Cats admitted it. They were strapped and ready,” Suge told Morgan. “Twenty grand here, a lil’ something there—all from Dre’s pockets.”

This isn’t a new accusation. Back in 2017, Suge’s legal team floated similar murder-for-hire claims, alleging Dre tried to take him out on the night Suge ran over Terry Carter, an incident that landed him a 28-year manslaughter sentence.

Dr. Dre’s reps vehemently denied the allegations then and continue to do so today. They maintain that Dre hasn’t had contact with Knight since he exited Death Row Records in 1996, calling the accusations “absurd” and baseless.

    On California’s Three-Strikes Law

Knight also took aim at the three-strikes law, saying it was used unfairly in his own case.

“I got hit with strikes that didn’t make sense,” he claimed. “They just wanted me off the streets.”

Suge has long argued that the justice system has been gunning for him, and now he’s using his platform—ironically from prison—to get his version of the story out.

    Diddy’s Case? Suge Has Thoughts

Later in the interview, the conversation turned to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing a mountain of legal trouble involving sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Despite their long-standing beef, Suge surprised viewers by showing some support for Diddy.

“No love lost, but I think Puffy should beat the case,” Suge said. “I think the courts got it twisted.”

    Hip-Hop’s Most Dangerous Legacy

Suge Knight remains one of hip-hop’s most controversial and feared figures, even from behind bars. Whether he’s telling the truth or fueling old beefs for attention, the drama between him and Dre still hits hard in the culture.

Dre hasn’t responded to the new claims—but if history is any indicator, his camp likely won’t dignify the accusations with more than a smirk.

But one thing’s for sure: Suge Knight’s voice still echoes in the halls of hip-hop history, and when he talks, the game listens.
