In a horrifying twist of events straight out of a nightmare, the Las Vegas Strip became a crime scene Sunday when two people were gunned down in broad daylight — and the chilling incident was caught on camera and live-streamed to the internet in real time.

The shooting, which unfolded just steps away from the Bellagio Hotel, shocked both tourists and locals, many of whom witnessed the terrifying ordeal as it happened or through the now-viral livestream.

    Shooter Identified, Surrenders to Police

    11:00 AM PT Update (June 11, 2025):
Las Vegas police have officially identified Manuel Ruiz as the suspect in the deadly shooting.

Ruiz reportedly walked into a Henderson police station and turned himself in on June 9. He has since been taken into custody and will be booked into the Clark County Detention Center facing two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon.

    Livestream Turns Violent in Seconds

The tragedy was unexpectedly broadcast on a YouTube livestream as crowds casually strolled The Strip. The video shows a group of tourists, with one man laughing into the camera. But the mood changes in an instant.

“You hear laughter… and then chaos,” said one online viewer.

Suddenly, the man filming turns his head, appearing startled. He bolts out of the frame — and within seconds, another man appears, pointing a gun offscreen. He opens fire as people scream and scatter.

A woman’s chilling voice pierces the moment:

    “Are you f*ing kidding me?!”**

What We Know About the Victims

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms two victims were shot and killed. Officers arrived quickly and rendered medical aid, but sadly, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

A bystander’s video captured officers performing CPR on one of the victims on the sidewalk, highlighting the frantic and heartbreaking aftermath.

Social Media Feud Sparked Deadly Encounter

According to investigators, the victims knew the shooter, and the motive appears to stem from an online feud that escalated into real-world violence.

“This was not a random act,” police said. “There was a personal dispute, and social media played a role in intensifying tensions.”

Police believe Manuel Ruiz and the victims had been arguing online, with threats exchanged in public forums before the confrontation turned deadly.

    Tourists Left Traumatized

Tourists and onlookers were left visibly shaken as the famous boulevard turned into a crime scene.

“We were just walking… and then BOOM, gunshots. Everyone started screaming and running,” said one tourist from Michigan. “It’s something I’ll never forget.”

The Bellagio Hotel, known for its glamour and iconic fountains, quickly became surrounded by police, ambulances, and crime scene tape.

Ruiz Faces Justice — But Questions Remain

With Ruiz in custody, many are asking how something so violent unfolded in one of the most policed areas in Las Vegas, and why no preventive action was taken despite the alleged social media threats.

Authorities are still piecing together the full timeline and whether others might have known about the potential danger beforehand.

    Shocking Details Captured Online

The YouTube livestream where the shooting took place has since been removed, but clips have gone viral on social media platforms like Twitter and TikTok, with viewers reacting to the sheer audacity and horror of what they witnessed.

“Imagine watching a live vlog, and it turns into a murder scene. That’s the world we live in now,” tweeted one viewer.

    Ongoing Investigation

Police continue to review video footage, gather statements from witnesses, and monitor online conversations related to the case. They’re also urging the public not to share graphic footage out of respect for the victims’ families.

“We understand the public’s shock, but please let’s handle this with dignity,” said a Metro PD spokesperson.

    What Happens Next?

    • Manuel Ruiz will face arraignment on double murder charges
    • Authorities will continue to investigate whether others were involved or aware of the threats
    • Social media platforms may come under scrutiny for their role in fueling conflicts

    The Bigger Picture

This tragedy highlights an unsettling trend: how online beefs can spill into the real world — with devastating consequences. As Las Vegas reels from the violence, many are calling for better monitoring of online threats before they escalate.
