Blake Lively Vows to Take Sexual Harassment Lawsuit to Trial After Baldoni’s $400M Case Dismissed

Blake Lively is standing firm in her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, making it clear she’s not backing down — even after a judge threw out Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against her.

Speaking to “TMZ Live” on Wednesday, Lively’s attorney Michael Gottlieb said his client is committed to taking her sexual harassment claims all the way to trial, determined to seek justice not only for herself but also for other women with similar experiences.

    Dismissed, But Not Over

Baldoni’s high-profile attorney Bryan Freedman appeared on TMZ Live earlier in the week, claiming Lively’s team was “celebrating too soon.” He revealed plans to refile four claims that were dismissed without prejudice and expressed eagerness to depose Lively later this month.

However, Gottlieb dismissed those concerns, saying the recent court ruling was a major win for Lively — one that undermines the core of Baldoni’s case.

    ???? What the Judge Said

The court ruled that Baldoni could not sue Blake Lively for defamation, as her allegations were made within a civil rights complaint, which is protected under law. The judge also dismissed claims against the New York Times, stating the publication fairly reported on the complaint — meaning no liability on their part either.

    A Statement for Survivors

Gottlieb emphasized that Lively is not afraid of the trial and feels it’s crucial to continue her fight publicly to help give voice to other survivors of sexual misconduct.

“This isn’t just about Blake,” Gottlieb said. “It’s about standing up for others who deserve to be heard without fear of retaliation.”

This may be just one legal round in a much bigger war — but Blake Lively’s camp says she’s ready for it.
