Ciara and Russell Wilson may be one of the most admired couples in Hollywood, but when it comes to expanding their family, Ciara is drawing the line—at least for now. The singer and mother of four recently opened up in an interview with Access Hollywood about her NFL husband’s persistent (and comedic) push for baby number five.
“That’s Just Disrespectful!”
Speaking to Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall, Ciara playfully called out Wilson’s ongoing attempts to convince her to have another baby.
“Let me tell you, someone needs to take my husband’s phone right now, okay? Because he needs to stop,” Ciara said with a laugh. “Amora just came out and he’s already talking about ‘Cinco?’ I’m like, ‘That’s just disrespectful. Do you know what I just went through right now with this?’”
Though clearly amused, the Grammy-winning artist emphasized the toll of pregnancy, joking that her husband’s campaign was gaining too much traction.
“He’s got a great campaign going, I’m not gonna lie,” she continued. “Yeah, the people are following Rus. They’re all team Rus. Like wait, y’all not gonna have some love and sympathy for my ovaries and my uterus?”
Russell Wilson’s “Cinco” Campaign
Wilson, never one to shy away from showing love publicly, has been dropping hints about baby number five on social media for months. In February, after Ciara posted a video dancing at Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival, he cheekily commented:
“This is my mating call, I see… Cinco goin’ to be on di way!”
Ciara responded with several laughing emojis, saying,
“Someone come take my husband’s phone, please.”
And the jokes didn’t stop there. In March, Wilson jumped into Ciara’s Instagram comments again, this time under a dance rehearsal post, asking:
“Hey baby, question… What color wallpaper you want for Cinco?”
His playful teasing dates back to October 2023 when Ciara shared a photo in a sleek all-black leather outfit. Wilson replied:
“I’m ready when you are… We can call him Cinco.”
