Sean “Diddy” Combs is getting closer to his prison exit after his release date was moved up again.
The music mogul is now scheduled to be released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on February 5, 2028, according to the Bureau of Prisons.
That means Diddy’s latest release date has been pushed forward by more than two weeks.
Just last month, his projected release date was February 20, 2028. His release has now been moved up again, although the Bureau of Prisons could make further changes.
Diddy’s current sentence stems from his 2025 federal trial.
A jury found him guilty of two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for purposes of prostitution. The charges involved allegations surrounding what prosecutors described during the trial as “freak offs,” in which Diddy was accused of arranging sexual encounters involving his girlfriends and male prostitutes.
The jury, however, acquitted Diddy of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.
A judge subsequently sentenced him to four years and two months in federal prison, with his sentence beginning in October 2025.
His original projected release date was June 2028, but that date has been repeatedly reduced over time.
Diddy’s time behind bars has also included controversy.
TMZ previously reported that he became involved in a fight with another inmate at the federal facility. He was subsequently placed in solitary confinement for a short period.
Around the time of that incident, his projected release date was moved from January 2028 to February 20, 2028.
Now, the date has shifted again.
For now, February 5, 2028, is the Bureau of Prisons’ current projected release date.
That puts Diddy’s potential return to freedom more than a year away, but the latest adjustment means the music mogul is now scheduled to leave Fort Dix earlier than previously expected.
