Dolly Parton is honoring the memory of her late husband, Carl Dean, and making it clear that their love story is far from over.
During a special event for Dollywood’s upcoming 40th season, the country music legend opened up about Carl’s passing, telling the audience, “Of course, I will always love him, and I’ll miss him, but I wanted you to know that I will always love you.”
A Love That Lasts Forever
Carl, who passed away on March 3, shared more than five decades of marriage with Dolly. The two first met when Dolly was just 18 and Carl was 23, and they remained deeply in love ever since.
Dolly reassured fans that Carl would have wanted her to keep working, and she intends to do just that. In fact, she recently released a new song dedicated to him, keeping his memory alive through music.
Carl was laid to rest in a private family ceremony, but Dolly’s tribute proves that his presence will always remain in her heart.
