Lil Baby Reveals $9 Million Gambling Loss and Extreme Measures to Quit

Rapper Lil Baby recently opened up about losing nearly $9 million during a marathon gambling spree that lasted 40 hours straight. The shocking revelation came during his appearance on Lil Yachty’s A Safe Place podcast, where the Atlanta star candidly reflected on the experience and the drastic steps he took to stop gambling.

    A Staggering Loss

When Lil Yachty asked about the most money he’s ever lost in one sitting, Lil Baby didn’t shy away from the truth. “Eight million dollars,” he said. “One day, probably like 40 hours. 40 hours straight, I lost like $8 million, $9 million.”

Determined to put an end to his gambling habit, Lil Baby took an unconventional approach. “I made myself stop gambling. I had [Fanatics founder] Mike Rubin write a letter to every casino and ban me from the casino, ’cause I just do sh*t,” he explained, adding a hint of humor to the extreme measure.

    Past Gambling Stories

This isn’t the first time Lil Baby has shared insights into his high-stakes gambling lifestyle. In a previous interview with Complex’s 360 with Speedy Morman, he recalled gambling nights with fellow celebrities like Drake, Meek Mill, James Harden, and Mike Rubin. While reflecting on his experiences, Baby admitted, “They say you gonna lose more than you gonna win, but over time, you can’t even remember, though. That’s the crazy part. I just feel like, if I’m lucky today, I’m lucky. If I’m not, I’m not. I win all the time. I lose all the time, too.”

    Happier Times Ahead

Despite the financial blow, Lil Baby shared with Yachty that he’s currently in a great place emotionally. During the podcast, he touched on Young Thug’s potential release from jail and expressed excitement for his upcoming album, WHAM (Who Hard as Me), set to release on January 3, 2025. The highly anticipated project is expected to include a collaboration with Young Thug, further fueling fan excitement.

Fans can catch the full interview on A Safe Place to hear more about Lil Baby’s personal journey, upcoming music, and reflections on life at the top.
