The rapper announced Monday night that he and Cannon are engaged, revealing the news just months after publicly confirming that the pair had split.
Wayne made the surprise announcement while recording a video congratulating fellow rapper B.G. on his own engagement.
“Congratulations, bitch. And I’m marryin’ this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancée,” Wayne said, introducing Cannon in the video.
The couple appeared happy as they joined in congratulating B.G., with the engagement revelation turning the moment into an announcement of their own.
The engagement comes after a turbulent stretch in Wayne and Cannon’s relationship.
Earlier this year, Wayne shut down engagement rumors and revealed that the pair had actually gone their separate ways.
At the time, the rapper described the relationship as something beautiful he had shared with an “amazing person,” while explaining that he did not want to become a “burden.”
Now, the pair appear to have reconciled — and their relationship has progressed to an engagement.
Cannon, 23, has been linked romantically to the 44-year-old rapper, and the pair have previously attracted attention over their relationship.
