MTN Uganda Limited, a powerhouse in the telecommunications and mobile money industry, is on the lookout for a dynamic Manager – BankTech (Saving & Lending) to join its cutting-edge MoMo team.
This full-time role offers a rare opportunity to spearhead innovative savings, loans, insurance, and investment products in Uganda’s ever-growing fintech and digital banking space.
???? About the Role:
As Manager of BankTech (Savings & Lending), you’ll play a crucial leadership role in developing, managing, and scaling MTN’s fintech products—including digital loans, savings platforms, and insurtech solutions. You’ll be at the center of digital innovation, working cross-functionally to increase user engagement, drive revenue, and expand financial inclusion across Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the BankTech roadmap to align with MTN’s mobile money goals.
- Collaborate with internal tech, legal, and compliance teams to deliver top-tier savings, lending, insurance, and investment products.
- Lead the full product development lifecycle—from ideation and testing to rollout and post-launch optimization.
- Analyze user behavior and competitor trends to enhance product performance and customer experience.
- Ensure all digital financial products meet Uganda’s regulatory standards.
- Work closely with external BankTech partners to strengthen partnerships and track KPIs.
- Deliver clear reporting on product performance, churn rates, market trends, and future projections.
Product Development & GTM Strategy:
- Design and launch new fintech solutions tailored to the Ugandan market.
- Build effective go-to-market strategies (GTM) with internal marketing and research teams.
- Integrate seamless tech solutions for smooth user experiences across digital channels.
- Use data to optimize service delivery and mitigate customer churn risks.
???? Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or a related field
- Certifications in Agile, Fintech, or Product Management are a big plus
- Minimum of 3 years experience in product development or fintech
- At least 2 years in telecom, financial services, or digital lending
- Proficiency in data analysis, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
- Familiarity with Uganda’s financial regulations for digital products
- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
