Ray J Defends Diddy Amid Sex Trafficking Allegations: “Puffy’s About to Get Out Too”

Ray J is speaking out in defense of Sean “Diddy” Combs, expressing confidence that the embattled music mogul will beat the sex trafficking charges currently hanging over him. During a recent appearance on Sneako’s livestream, the R&B singer made a bold prediction:

“Puffy’s about to get out too. On my life, that’s the truth.”

Ray J Criticizes the Prosecution’s Case Against Diddy

Ray J, best known for his hit “One Wish”, criticized the nature of the legal case being brought against Diddy. While acknowledging that the Bad Boy founder may have made mistakes in the past, Ray J claimed that the current charges are unfounded and exaggerated.

“All that they’re trying to charge him with is nonsense, bro,” he said. “He did something wrong that we all witnessed, and that is unacceptable. However, those are not the charges being brought forward.”

Ray J suggested that the case feels more like a public takedown than a fair legal pursuit, warning against what he sees as a one-sided narrative.

Revisiting the Allegations: Cassie’s Lawsuit and Public Fallout

The controversy surrounding Diddy erupted in November 2023, when Cassie, his former partner, filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and sex trafficking. The allegations set off a wave of public scrutiny, with multiple women coming forward to make similar claims. Prosecutors also cited alleged “freak offs” — orchestrated sexual encounters involving women and male escorts — as part of the case.

But Ray J, speaking candidly during a NewsNation interview with Chris Cuomo in late 2023, questioned the integrity of some of the claims:

“Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? It seems like everyone is piling on, and it’s starting to look like a one-sided narrative against one individual, which is causing discomfort among people.”

Ray J Questions “Freak Off” Allegations

Ray J cast doubt on the “freak off” accusations, a term used in the official complaint documents. While he acknowledged some controversial party scenes may have occurred, he emphasized that most celebrities likely had no idea of the alleged misconduct.

“I think there may have been instances where people were at parties with certain groups, and something akin to a ‘freak off’ occurred. But I can assure you, most of the high-profile celebrities who attended Diddy’s events were likely unaware of any such thing.”

Ray J’s evolving stance reportedly came after a personal encounter with Diddy’s sons during a Halloween event, which left him feeling conflicted about the public backlash against the hip-hop icon.
