Rihanna is making sure her kids get a taste of where their mom comes from.
The singer was spotted enjoying a laid-back family outing in her native Barbados, where she treated her children to fresh coconut snacks during a relaxing island visit.
Rihanna, wearing a gray top over her swimsuit, stopped at a local coconut stand and ordered treats for one of her sons and her daughter, Rocki.

The family sipped straight from coconuts, with Rihanna visibly enjoying the moment as her son dug into the sides of his snack.
It was a distinctly local experience for one of the world’s biggest music stars — and Rihanna didn’t seem bothered by the attention that inevitably followed her.
Locals recognized the superstar and stopped to take photos with her. Rihanna happily obliged, posing with people and flashing her signature smile during the casual outing.

And she wasn’t exactly traveling like a global superstar, either.
Rather than using a private vehicle, Rihanna and her crew hopped aboard a bright yellow public minibus to get around the island.
The trip gave Rihanna’s children a chance to experience Barbados in a more everyday way, with coconut treats, local transportation and plenty of time spent enjoying the island.

For Rihanna, who was born and raised in Barbados, the getaway was a chance to share a little piece of home with the next generation.
Coconuts, family time and a public minibus — not a bad way to show the kids where it all began.
