Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian were among Hollywood’s biggest names at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, turning Saturday night’s red carpet into a star-packed showcase. Swift also took the spotlight inside the event with a musical performance for the celebrity-filled audience.
The sixth annual charity gala took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, bringing together actors, musicians, models and other entertainment heavyweights to support the museum’s exhibitions, film screenings and educational programs.
Swift stood out in a strapless light blue Dior gown, while Kardashian arrived in a vintage 1951 Balenciaga dress inspired by the fashion legacy of Elizabeth Taylor.
Despite their well-documented history, however, there was reportedly no awkward face-to-face encounter between the two stars. According to TMZ, Swift and Kardashian never crossed paths, narrowly missing each other on the red carpet.
Their strained history dates back to 2016, when a public dispute involving Kardashian’s then-husband, Kanye West, and Swift became one of pop culture’s most closely watched celebrity feuds.
The gala’s guest list extended well beyond the two headline-making stars. Kendall Jenner attended alongside her boyfriend, actor Jacob Elordi, while Sabrina Carpenter, Hailey Bieber, Demi Moore, Eva Longoria, Olivia Munn, Emily Ratajkowski and Sofia Richie were also among the reported attendees.
Other celebrities spotted at the event included Hunter Schafer, Karlie Kloss, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Mia Goth.
Music and film stars continued to fill out the guest list, with John Legend and Chrissy Teigen arriving together. Adrien Brody attended with his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, while Vittoria Ceretti, the girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio, was also listed among the attendees.
Kristen Wiig, Jessica Alba, Priyanka Chopra, Pierce Brosnan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dakota Fanning and Kerry Washington were among the additional stars who attended.
Guests posed for photographers before heading inside for the charitable event, which helps fund the Academy Museum’s public programming and film-related exhibitions.
While the gathering celebrated cinema and Hollywood culture, Swift’s performance and the possibility of an encounter with Kardashian added extra intrigue to an already star-heavy evening.
