Tyga is officially making his return to the rap scene with the announcement of his upcoming album NSFW (Not Safe For Work), set to release on Friday, January 31, 2025, via EMPIRE distribution. This marks the Grammy-nominated rapper’s first full-length project in six years, following his signature blend of West Coast flair and experimental sounds.

    What to Expect from NSFW

Described in a press release as Tyga’s “most daring project yet,” NSFW promises to captivate both fans and critics. The album is said to feature a mix of Tyga’s iconic sound with innovative elements and thrilling collaborations.

“The title sets the tone for the album,” the press release states. “Deploying his one-of-a-kind sound and West Coast flair, NSFW will captivate fans and critics alike.”

    New Music and Teasers

Leading up to the album’s release, Tyga dropped the single “Slave” and shared the album cover and pre-order links on Instagram. “NSFW ALBUM JAN 31!! Pre-save link in bio #NotSafeForWork,” he wrote in his post.

Tyga has been building anticipation over the past two years, releasing tracks like “Bops Goin’ Brazy” in 2023 and “Sensei” in 2024.

During a recent interview at Rolling Loud, Tyga teased his fanbase, saying, “New album, new album. I’m mixing it right now. So, album, tour.” He hinted at some exciting collaborations but left fans guessing. “We just got to see, you know? Working on a few features,” he said.

    A Legacy of Hits

Tyga’s return to the spotlight is another chapter in a career that has spanned over a decade. Since his debut album No Introduction in 2008, the rapper has delivered numerous Billboard-charting hits, including “Rack City,” “Faded” featuring Lil Wayne, and “Ayo” with Chris Brown.

In July, Tyga appeared on Tinashe’s hit “Nasty” alongside Chloe Bailey. Tinashe praised Tyga as the “ideal rapper” for the track, saying, “He has a history of nasty-related themes, so I felt like he was perfect and fit that West Coast vibe in that sense.”

    What’s Next?

With NSFW and a tour in the works, Tyga is ready to reclaim his place in the spotlight. Fans eagerly await the album’s release and the fresh wave of music that will undoubtedly follow.
