Dr. Dre Backs Kendrick Lamar in Drake Feud: ‘Adios!’ Over Family Disrespect

Legendary Producer Sides with K-Dot, Slams Drake’s Attacks on Family

Dr. Dre is making it loud and clear—he’s riding with Kendrick Lamar in the ongoing rap battle against Drake.

During an appearance on The Unusual Suspects With Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell on January 30, the West Coast legend didn’t hold back, expressing his disappointment in Drake for bringing Kendrick’s family into the beef.

“I love that record. I’ma say this on camera. I don’t want to get negative—my whole thing is about being positive and moving forward—but the fact I heard Drake say something negative about Kendrick’s wife and his kids, that made me say, ‘Ah, adios!’”

Dre’s endorsement further solidifies the Hip-Hop icon’s loyalty to Lamar, as both artists have long been associated with West Coast rap dominance.

Drake’s Lyrical Attacks That Pushed Dre Away

Throughout their highly publicized feud, Drake took multiple shots at Kendrick’s personal life in songs like:

    • “Push Ups”
    • “Family Matters”
    • “The Heart Part 6”

Drizzy accused Lamar of physically abusing his longtime partner, Whitney Alford, and even suggested that Dave Free—Kendrick’s creative partner—was the real father of one of his children.

These allegations seemingly crossed a line for Dre, who had previously remained neutral but now openly supports K-Dot in the rap war.

“Not Like Us” Becomes a Cultural Anthem

Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” has become more than just a diss track—it’s now a West Coast anthem.

    • The track peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
    • It broke the record for most weeks atop the Hot Rap Songs chart, surpassing Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road.”
    • It has also been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards.

Dre himself had the honor of introducing the track at Kendrick’s Pop Out concert at the Kia Forum, where K-Dot performed it five times in a row, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

“Pst, I see dead people.” – Dr. Dre introducing “Not Like Us”

Dre’s appearance at the concert and now his public comments cement his support for Kendrick, further fueling the West Coast vs. Toronto narrative in the feud.

What’s Next for Kendrick? Super Bowl Halftime Show Awaits

Fresh off the biggest battle in modern rap history, Kendrick Lamar is set to hit one of the biggest stages in the world—the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans.

While Drake has yet to respond to Dre’s comments, Kendrick’s momentum continues to surge as he gears up for yet another historic performance.

With Dr. Dre, the West Coast, and Hip-Hop legends rallying behind him, could this be the final nail in the coffin for Drake’s rap supremacy?

Stay tuned as the battle unfolds!
