    Uganda’s music industry reached new heights last night as celebrated songwriter and singer Rulz secured a Grammy Award at the prestigious ceremony held in Los Angeles.

    Rulz, alongside fellow Ugandan artist Zigi Nana, took home the Best Global Music Album award for their significant songwriting contributions to Matt B’s album, “Alkebulan II.” This remarkable achievement marks a historic moment for Ugandan talent on the international stage.

    Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Rulz couldn’t contain his joy as he shared the incredible news with his followers:

    “GRAMMY WINNING SONGWRITER #GRAMMYs

    Allah is so good to me!!!!!”

    Visa Delays Prevent Attendance

    Despite their monumental win, Rulz and Zigi Nana were unable to attend the ceremony in person due to visa delays. Expressing both disappointment and excitement, Rulz revealed:

    “We couldn’t attend the Grammys in time because our visas arrived late.

    But regardlesssssss!!!! We bringing it home with usssss #GRAMMYs”

    While missing the grand event was unfortunate, the duo remains focused on celebrating their victory and bringing their prestigious award back to Uganda.
