Liev Schreiber is setting the record straight about his daughter Kai’s debut at Paris Fashion Week, firmly rejecting any claims that her success as a model is due to nepotism.
The Ray Donovan star was recently spotted at the opening of the new Planet Hollywood in New York City, where he was asked by our photographer about his 16-year-old daughter’s debut on the Valentino runway. While the buzz around her appearance in the prestigious show has sparked whispers of nepotism, Schreiber is having none of it.
Kai’s mother is Naomi Watts, and while both of her parents are highly accomplished in Hollywood, Liev is clear that Kai’s achievements are her own. He points out that Kai didn’t choose her parents or their careers, and therefore, labeling her success as the result of nepotism is simply unfair.
Liev emphasized that Kai’s courage to pursue her dreams — regardless of her famous lineage — is what truly deserves recognition. He’s proud of her for stepping out and following her passion, adding that the spotlight should be on her personal aspirations and not on the perceived advantages of her famous background.
The proud father made it clear that Kai’s modeling career is a result of her own talent and drive, with her decision to walk for Valentino being a testament to her dedication and passion for the craft. Despite her famous family, Liev believes that this is Kai’s moment, and it should be celebrated as such.
