Lil Durk’s father, Big Durk, is celebrating his son’s courtroom victory — and says the entire family is on a high following the rapper’s acquittal.
Big Durk spoke outside the federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles on Friday, just minutes after a jury found Lil Durk not guilty on all five charges in his murder-for-hire case.
He told TMZ he was “bursting with joy” and could barely contain his happiness after hearing the verdict.
According to Big Durk, the relief extends throughout the family, which he says is now on a major emotional high after years of uncertainty surrounding the case.
He also said his son always believed the day he would be found not guilty would eventually come.
Now, the family plans to celebrate the legal victory in a big way.
The celebration wasn’t limited to Durk’s family.
DeenTheGreat and boxer Adrien Broner were also spotted outside the courthouse, where they appeared all smiles while reacting to the rapper beating the case.
Lil Durk had faced serious federal charges stemming from a 2022 shooting in Los Angeles involving rival rapper Quando Rondo.
Prosecutors alleged Durk hired a hit team to kill Quando in retaliation for the 2020 killing of his friend, rapper Dayvon “King Von” Bennett.

The alleged attack unfolded outside the Beverly Center, where prosecutors said gunmen fired 18 shots at Quando’s black Escalade. Quando survived, but his cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, was killed.
Durk’s defense presented a different account, arguing that his former assistant, Kavon Grant, had ordered the shooting while attempting to impress his boss.
After three days of deliberations, jurors sided with the defense and cleared Lil Durk of conspiracy, stalking using a dangerous weapon, stalking resulting in death and two murder-for-hire charges.
For Big Durk, the verdict represents more than a courtroom result.
It is a moment the family can finally celebrate — and, judging by his reaction outside court, they are ready to do exactly that.
