According to TMZ, Goodwin and the Ghost Adventures crew were filming a lockdown investigation for the show in Los Angeles last week when he received the devastating phone call.
Sources close to the production reveal that the entire moment was captured on video, though it won’t be included in the upcoming season of Ghost Adventures, which is set to premiere next month.
However, Zak Bagans, the show’s lead investigator and executive producer, will consult with the network before deciding if the footage will air in a future season.

Authorities uncovered the murder-for-hire plan when they found Amato’s contraband phone, which contained messages detailing the plot. Reports indicate that Victoria and Amato had allegedly set aside over $11,000 to carry out the crime.
