Aaron Goodwin, best known for his role on Ghost Adventures, found himself living a real-life horror story when police called to inform him that his wife had allegedly plotted to have him killed—all while cameras were rolling.
Shocking Revelation Caught on Camera
According to TMZ, Goodwin and the Ghost Adventures crew were filming a lockdown investigation for the show in Los Angeles last week when he received the devastating phone call.
Sources close to the production reveal that the entire moment was captured on video, though it won’t be included in the upcoming season of Ghost Adventures, which is set to premiere next month.
However, Zak Bagans, the show’s lead investigator and executive producer, will consult with the network before deciding if the footage will air in a future season.
Victoria Goodwin’s Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot
Victoria Goodwin was arrested and booked last week on charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Investigators say she had been communicating with a Florida inmate, Grant Amato, about hiring a hitman instead of seeking a divorce. In one chilling message, she allegedly wrote:
“Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Authorities uncovered the murder-for-hire plan when they found Amato’s contraband phone, which contained messages detailing the plot. Reports indicate that Victoria and Amato had allegedly set aside over $11,000 to carry out the crime.
Who Is Grant Amato?
Grant Amato is currently serving a life sentence for the 2019 murders of his parents and brother.
Despite the disturbing allegations, Victoria has denied any intent to harm her husband.
Will the Footage Ever Be Released?
The question now remains—will the harrowing moment of Aaron Goodwin learning about the alleged plot ever be shown to the public?
While Ghost Adventures has captured terrifying paranormal encounters, this real-life horror may be one of the most shocking moments in the show’s history.
