“Big Brother” fans are in a frenzy, calling on producers to boot Rylie Jeffries over his allegedly controlling behavior toward love interest Katherine Woodman.
But his mother, Michelle Jeffries, tells TMZ the backlash is off-base. She argues that Rylie simply appears “over the top on TV”.
“They’re stuck in a house with no TV, no radios, no phones. They’re getting to know each other on a personal level we don’t understand,” she said.
“He’s not some obsessive stalker-type person like everyone is saying. He’s got a great heart and wears it on his sleeve.”
Small-Town Love, Big Emotions
Michelle describes Rylie as a small-town guy who loves intensely, adding that he gives his whole heart in relationships.
“I’d have a hard time finding someone who had anything bad to say about him,” she said.
She also expressed excitement about meeting Katherine, whom she says “sounds like a really great girl.”
“If Rylie’s happy, we’re happy, and that’s all that matters to me,” Michelle told TMZ.
When asked about critics claiming Katherine should distance herself from her son, she insisted:
“If she’s not happy, they will figure that out on their own. Their relationship is their decision.”
Potential Baby Mama Drama
Adding fuel to the reality-TV fire, the Oklahoma-born bull rider is reportedly at the center of baby mama allegations. A former partner claims he ditched her and their unborn child to compete on Big Brother.
Michelle Jeffries pushed back on the claims, telling TMZ:
“Rylie is aware he could be the father and was open to taking a paternity test once the child was born.”
As of now, she says there’s no reason to believe he’s the father, noting the woman did not allow him to attend ultrasounds or medical appointments.
TMZ reached out to the potential baby mama for comment but has not received a response.
Family Support in the Public Eye
Michelle added that Rylie will be “extremely upset and mortified” once he learns about the social media chatter and controversy outside the Big Brother house.
“But he’ll have his family to lean on if he needs it,” she said.
For now, Rylie remains inside the house, navigating the pressures of competition, romance, and public scrutiny—all while the drama unfolds online.
Final Thoughts
Rylie Jeffries’ story highlights the blurry line between reality TV and real life, showing how quickly public perception can turn fans against contestants.
Despite criticism and rumors, his family’s defense paints a picture of a genuine, loving young man misunderstood by viewers.
