Hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes is finally getting the recognition he deserves — and it’s nothing short of legendary.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced that the rap veteran will be honored with the 2,818th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The celebration is set for Friday, August 1, at 11:30 AM PT, located at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, right in front of East Town.

The honor comes in the Recording category — a fitting tribute for an artist whose voice and impact have echoed across decades. The ceremony will feature an all-star lineup of guest speakers including Chris Rock, LL Cool J, Chuck D, and Big Boy, who will share their personal stories and salute Busta’s larger-than-life legacy.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be adding Busta Rhymes, one of Hip-Hop’s most enduring and electrifying voices, as a new member of Hollywood’s iconic sidewalk,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame. “His talent and influence are undeniable. His star on the Walk of Fame will stand as a testament to his lasting impact on hip-hop music and its importance in American culture.”

A Career That Defines Hip-Hop Excellence

Busta Rhymes, known for his rapid-fire flow and explosive stage energy, is widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Over the course of his career, he’s earned:

    • 12 GRAMMY® nominations
    • Over 60 million certified records sold
    • Multiple gold and platinum singles
    • Seven Top 10 Billboard 200 albums
    • And eight Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hits, including:
      • “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check”
      • “Dangerous”
      • “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See”
      • “What’s It Gonna Be?!”
      • “Pass the Courvoisier, Part II”
      • “I Know What You Want”
      • “Touch It”

From classic albums like The Coming, When Disaster Strikes, and Extinction Level Event, to his unforgettable features and visuals, Busta has consistently pushed the boundaries of sound and style — shaping the DNA of modern hip-hop.

A Star That Was Always Meant to Shine

This latest accolade marks yet another milestone in a monumental journey that has spanned more than three decades. Busta’s upcoming star solidifies his status not only as a hip-hop pioneer but as a cultural icon who continues to inspire new generations.

With his name now etched into the streets of Hollywood, Busta Rhymes’ legacy is permanently cemented into music history — where it belongs.
