Cassie’s Lawyer Speaks Out After Diddy Guilty Verdict: “She Paved the Way”

Cassie Ventura’s lawyer is speaking out following the explosive guilty verdict in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, calling his client’s bravery a “catalyst for justice.”

On Wednesday, a Manhattan jury convicted Diddy on two federal charges, including violating the Mann Act for transporting Cassie and another woman across state lines for illegal sexual purposes. He was acquitted of two sex trafficking counts and a racketeering conspiracy charge.

???? “Cassie Left an Indelible Mark on Justice”

In a powerful statement, attorney Douglas H. Wigdor praised the Grammy-nominated singer for taking the first bold step in holding Combs accountable.

“This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” Wigdor said.
“Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.”

Wigdor doubled down on his support for Cassie, saying:

“We believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion.”

???? A Tipping Point for the Music Industry?

Wigdor stressed the wider implications of the case for an industry long plagued by allegations of abuse.

“This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors,” he said.

Cassie, now expecting her second child, has not released her own statement but was seen leaving the courthouse earlier this week looking calm and composed.

    ???? Diddy’s Verdict: What Happened?

The jury deliberated for 13 hours over three days before returning a mixed verdict:

✅ GUILTY – Mann Act violations for transporting Cassie Ventura and “Jane Doe” across state lines for illegal sexual purposes.
❌ NOT GUILTY – Two counts of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

The guilty charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. Sentencing is expected in three months.

    ???? Social Media Reacts:

???? “Cassie started this. She’s the real MVP.”
???? “She stood up to one of the biggest names in music and won. Respect.”
???? “The entertainment industry will never be the same after this.”

???? Do You Think Cassie’s Case Will Inspire More Survivors To Speak Out?
