Diddy’s countdown to freedom has been pushed back again, with federal prison records now listing a March 2, 2028 release date for the music mogul.
The new date represents a six-week delay from the January 21, 2028 date previously reported for Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The latest change comes shortly after reports raised questions about Diddy’s treatment behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Diddy was reportedly returned to solitary confinement after an NBC News report alleged that he had access to a contraband cellphone and alcohol and that he paid other inmates for services including massages, cooking and chores.
Those allegations have not been established as criminal findings against Diddy.
PEOPLE was first to report the latest change to his release date, while the Federal Bureau of Prisons records now list March 2, 2028.
Diddy remains in solitary confinement, according to the report.

The timing of the new release date has drawn attention because of the recent prison controversy, although the supplied reports do not establish that the allegations directly caused the change.
Diddy is serving a 50-month federal sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution.
He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex-trafficking charges at trial.
His projected release date has shifted several times since he entered federal custody. Despite the latest delay, March 2, 2028 remains earlier than the original June 2028 date associated with his sentence.
For now, the biggest change is simple: Diddy’s expected return to freedom has moved from January to March 2028.
